From the aroma of fresh spices in the air to the man selling crispy kachori & sabzi, from women in brightly coloured saris selling everything from steel utensils to colourful dupattas to the vendor singing “100 ka do, 100 ka do!”, the local markets of India have always been a sensory delight for anyone who has walked through its narrow lanes. Proudly recreating the hustle and magic of these markets, DSSC organised Shaandaar Bazaar, a celebration of the local and the artisanal, the old and the new, the traditional and the modern.
